Cue sit at the door
Reach for the collar and clip the leash while the dog holds still
Open the door and cue wait, then release to walk through together
Tips
- If the dog breaks the sit when you reach for the collar, go back a step and reward the sit first
- The door opening is the distraction. Practise with a closed door first
